One Family will be running our New Futures & Options programmes this upcoming academic year. New Futures is coordinated and run by One Family and Options is run in conjunction with Ballsbridge College of Further Education. Both courses are free and parents will also receive one to one mentoring and wrap around supports, such as counselling and parenting, if needed.

Further details are below for your information. If you know of anyone who would be interested in either programme, please refer them to One Family at programmes@onefamily.ie or by phone at 01 662 9212. They can also learn more on our website https://onefamily.ie/education
About New Futures:
New Futures is a 24 week part-time personal & professional development programme specifically designed for those parenting alone or sharing parenting which is accredited at QQI Level 4. Modules included are Personal & Interpersonal Development and Career Planning. New Futures is based on helping parents discover what careers or courses suit them. It also works towards building confidence, self esteem, peer support from other parents on the course and improving CV & interview skills.
New Futures will commence in October 2017 and will run Mondays & Tuesdays from 10.00am-1.00pm in our new premises in Smithfield. We cover travel costs and there are also limited childcare places available in the One Family crèche for this programme, so early enrolment is advised.
About Options:
Options is a part-time programme offering a combination of three minor awards in IT Skills (Minor Award – Level 4), Communications and Nursing Theory and Practice (Both Minor Award – Level 5). Learners are encouraged to take all three courses but can take any combination of the three if they prefer.
The Options programme starts on 27th September, 2017 and will run until the end of May 2018. Classes will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-1:00 in Herbert St., Dublin 2.
Please note that One Family has moved location and we are now based at 8 Coke Lane, Smithfield, Dublin 7. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact my colleague Ciara Ryan, New Futures Project Co-Ordinator on cryan@onefamily.ie .
